FA cup, Europa Cup, top 4 finish?
What you'll be your pick for West Ham to achieve?

Personally out of those three, I'd go for FA Cup, even though it's most achievable, 2006 still hurts- anyone feel the same?

I'll take a nice, exciting relegation battle.

Any of the cups.

FA Cup the preference really, that's the real quiz.

For progress it has to be either top four or EL. My ultimate would be to win the league but if we had Champions League next season it would be superb. Unfortunately I think we are going to struggle this season.

I never watch the EL either. But now we're in it!... or almost.

Top 8 finish and a cup win would be progress.

No running before we can walk here.

Europa League purely for all the great days / nights out that we'd have.

Fully expect that I'm on my own with this one!

I've had no interest in the European competitions since they became a league system, so FA cup every day of the week.

Cup competitions are meant to be a knockout, now they're just another way for Eufa to make more wedge.

And while in subject, would be great if they scrapped 4th spot and made FA cup winner qualify for CL instead.

Fifth- I know, logically why would you go for anything else other the EL but I still think FA Cup is just more special to English teams, I never miss an FA cup final, but often don't bother with EL

if we get the striker situation sorted we have the chance of the best season in a long while imo

"Top four" i.e 2nd 3rd or 4th would mean qualifying for the Champs League albeit not winning anything.

FA Cup would be great though you don't get CL qualification.

If you win the EL you qualify for CL plus we'd have had a season travelling to some great places and won a trophy.

I have no idea why anyone would choose top four or FA cup over EL.

Unless "top 4" means winning the League in which case obviously I'd take that.

I know it aint fashionable to say it this year, but for me the Europa cup has been and remains a poisoned chalice. Tho' it's good bait for getting top rate players in. Too much traveling, too many games too little reward.

I'd rather see us go for a domestic cup and a good league placement.

Fa Cup vs Europa League is a toughie for me. Top 4 is a distance away from the other two though.

Re: FA cup, Europa Cup, top 4 finish?
I think we should go all out for the cups.... the League Cup should be the first priority, easiest to win, big clubs don't take it seriously until the later stages... win that and we are in EL at least next season.

Also go all out for the Europa League... would like to think we would stand a chance against any EL side given our first choice side. We just need to be lucky with injuries! Realistically our best chance of getting CL.

I'd be happy with fielding our best team in the cups. It is going to be extremely difficult to finish top 4 (even top 6) so concentrate on those we can win.... we would still finish 10th in the league even if we played the occasional mainly second string team after away EL ties.

In the long term first team experience for the youngsters will stand us in good stead.
